The black rider placed a finger on the mouth of her helmet and tapped it silently as the man made his way over to the strange popcorn machine. She had never really taken off her helmet anywhere except within the comfort of her own home. She felt so exposed without it, and it also made her feel even more different than usual. Shinra always told her she looked more beautiful without her helmet. It made her feel nice, but she never understood why. She didn’t have a head? How did that make her beautiful?

“I-I don’t really think that’s a good idea.”

Why’s that?

The Irish fairy nervously tapped her fingers together and kicked her foot loosely on the ground like a nervous child. She had always felt insecure about being the way she was. This was the reason she never removed her helmet. Slowly reaching for her communication device she tapped away at it’s keypad nervously.

“I-I just…look so different without my helmet. You have no idea what it’s like to not have a head…it’s awful. I feel like such an outcast.”

Everyone’s an outcast in their own way, my dear. Look at me, I’m a criminal mastermind with morals. Crazy things right there. But in the end, I could give less of a damn if you’re headless or anything like that. You’re my friend. You look fine to me no matter what anyone says. That’s cause you’re special in my little black heart.
